Day 01 Arrive Chennai – Mahabalipuram

Arrive Chennai by .
Meet with our welcome ambassador and drive to Mahabalipuram (1.5 hours drive) .
Ancient temples that reflect the glory of erstwhile kingdoms, pristine beaches that emanate matchless natural beauty, rich cultural heritage that welcomes you with warmth – Mahabalipuram is in many ways the splendidly vibrant destination you will love to visit many times.

Day 02 Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry

Breakfast at hotel.
Visit Mahabalipuram to witness the incredible 7th-century rock-hewn monument “the Shore temple”. You will also visit “Five Rathas”, that exhibits a group of monolithic rock temples, in Dravidian-style architecture. 
Later proceed to Pondicherry( 02 hours drive)
The charming town of Pondicherry is famous for its mustard-yellow colonial buildings, beautiful beaches and cozy restaurants.
From the 16th century onward, this city was ruled by Dutch, British and French colonists. Pondicherry was repeatedly fought over during the Anglo-French Wars.

Day 03 Pondicherry

Breakfast at hotel.
Day to explore Pondicherry.
French Quarter: Pondicherry’s French Quarter is also called “White Town” and it’s here that you will find the mustard-yellow colonial buildings Pondicherry is so famous for.
Tamil Quarter: This quarter is often called “Black Town”, and it’s located on the West side of the French Quarter, across the canal.
Beaches: If you want to relax a little, it’s good to know that the French Quarter of Pondicherry is located right at the beach.
Auroville: This experimental township was founded in 1968 by Mira Alfassa, who is also called “The Mother”.

Day 04 Pondicherry –Tanjore

After breakfast drive to Thanjavur enroute visiting Gangaikondacholapuram and Kumbakonam.

Here is where images from the past come together to paint the collage of a glorious city; a work of art in itself. that reflects the richness of culture and heritage that adorns this land. Thanjavur is a destination unlike any other.
Visit Brihadisvara Temple, Thanjavur’s most famous tourist attraction and it’s easy to understand why. The magnificent Brihadisvara Temple was built in the 11th century by Chola emperor Rajaraj.

Day 05 Tanjore - Madurai

Breakfast at hotel.
Later drive to Madurai enroute visiting Karaikudi.
Arrive and check in at hotel.
Later proceed to visit the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple, a religious structure dating back more than 2500 years. The temple has in total 14 towers and 33,000 colourful sculptures. The southern tower is the tallest of them all with a height of 170 feet. Here, witness a ‘putting to bed’ ceremony from a gallery outside as the image of Lord Shiva is carried each night in an elaborate chariot accompanied by dance, music, and devotions from his shrine to his wife Parvati’s resting place in a different part of the temple.

Day 06 Madurai – Munnar

Later proceed to Munnar( 05 hours drive)
Munnar rises as three mountain streams merge  – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1,600 m above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India.

Visit Tea plantations and tea factories: One of the most popular things to do in Munnar is to pay a visit to one of its many tea factories and tea plantations. Here, you can learn more about how tea is harvested, see tea plantation workers at work and taste some fine tea.

Day 07 Munnar – Kumarakom

Later, proceed to the Mattancherry Palace, also known as Dutch Palace, and Continue to the Jew town and visit the Paradesi Synagogue
